1. Bethany Pirate Park - Located in Bethany along the Rock Creek Trail, this will become a favorite for your little adventure lover! Named after the towering play structure shaped like a pirate ship, the multi-level playground offers hours of fun. With separate areas for big and little kids, your family is sure to have a great time here. Please note, the park is not visible from the road, so look for the trailhead on Graf St, just east of Sickle Terr.

2. Rose Garden Children’s Park - This is a great place to start if you want to spend some time exploring one of Portland’s treasures, Washington Park. There is a huge accessible play structure featuring bridges, bouncers, and a sand pit. On the left, you’ll find the Elephant House, which is perfect for picnics and events. On the right is the magnificent International Rose Test Garden, featuring over 10,000 rose bushes blooming from April - October. Your little one will also appreciate the restroom facilities, Rose Garden Gift Shop, and snack cart.

3. Mountain View Champions Park - Designed to be fully accessible to all ability levels, this 21.5-acre park is located off 170th in Beaverton, next to Mountain View Middle School. Here you’ll find extra wide paths, no stairs, specially designed playground equipment, and a synthetic sports field so all community members can be active and enjoy the outdoors. The sprawling facility also includes a community garden, picnic area, restrooms, concessions, and multiple sports fields. Construction on a new multi-purpose sports court begins in June of 2023.

Summerlake Park - A picturesque outdoor recreational area located in Tigard, this spacious park offers a wide range of fun activities for people of all ages to enjoy, including multiple playground areas, picnic tables & shelters, paved walking paths, and sports fields. One of the standout features of Summerlake Park is its stunning lake, which offers fishing opportunities and a serene setting for visitors to enjoy. The park also has a splash pad and water play area, perfect for hot summer days. It is also a hot spot for pickleball players with four dedicated pickleball courts. Your furry friends can also enjoy the gated ? acre off-leash dog park.

5. Commonwealth Lake Park - If you’re looking for a lovely place for a picturesque stroll, look no further. The 0.8-mile flat trail around the lake offers beautiful views of wildlife and waterfowl. Educational stations along the trail point to some of the plants and critters you might see. Feel free to toss in a line (if you have an Oregon fishing permit) to catch some of the stocked trout in the lake. On the west end of the park, you’ll also find a playground and soccer fields. Pack your picnic, bring a blanket, and make a day of it.
