Carey Hughes Homes Gives Back - May Update
Carey Hughes Homes believes strongly in giving back to the community where we live and work. Did you know that for every home our clients buy or sell within the Beaverton School District, we donate $100 to Planting Seeds, an organization that supports local students and families that are experiencing housing insecurity? We’ll be sharing more about this special organization in our next newsletter. In the meantime, here are some of our Spring Giving Back projects!
Murrayhill Easter Egg Hunt
After starting the annual Easter egg hunt in 2015, we had to take a two-year break during the pandemic, but we brought it back this April, better than ever! Hundreds of kids and their families filled Murrayhill Park, and thousands of eggs were found. We were thrilled to again be spending time with the community and watching the excitement of the children as they opened their eggs and played with the Easter Bunny. It was simply magical. Thank you to the Murrayhill Recreation Association, Inspire Physical Therapy, Sugar Geek Show, Tree to Tree Adventure Park, and Good Life Dentistry for helping sponsor the event. We are proud to join other local business owners who live in Murrayhill to build greater connections and have some fun together!
PLAY.FIT.FUN
We have been a longtime supporter of Play.Fit.Fun. This local company is a favorite among many kids and parents alike. The Play.Fit.Fun classes and camps promote self-esteem and positivity through movement and play. In May, Play.Fit.Fun set up at a local, low-income apartment complex on a “no school” day. Many of these kids would normally spend the day playing video games and watching TV, but instead, they spent 2 hours running, playing, laughing, and having fun. One girl commented, “This is the most I've ever moved at one time!”
